Why can't I opt out my listing?

Troubleshooting for opting out of Spokeo listings

I received an error when I submitted my listing for removal.

Please double check the formatting. It should match one of the following examples:

Name listing: https://www.spokeo.com/John-Smith/State/City/1234567890

Email listing: http://www.spokeo.com/social/profile?q=johndoe@email.com&loaded=1

Username listing: http://www.spokeo.com/social/profile?q=johndoe&loaded=1

If you are using a URL that includes the word "purchase”, try running the same search on https://www.spokeo.com/ in an incognito window to obtain a URL that aligns with the examples above.

I removed my listing, but it's still showing on the results page.

Cached results can cause a listing to reappear on your computer or device due to stored information in the history of your browser. So, if the issue persists, clear your browsing data – that is, your browser "cookies" and "cache," Next, run another search for the listing.

If you are unfamiliar with how to clear your browsing data, please follow these instructions from Indiana University on how to do so.
