What is phishing and what should I do if I receive a suspicious email?

Phishing refers to a type of email scam that solicits your personal information. These fake emails usually impersonate a company or individual with whom you’ve already interacted, which gives it a semblance of legitimacy.  Phishing emailsare often used to gain access to your bank accounts, credit cards, or accounts, or passwords.
