How do I remove a username from search results?
Can I remove a username from Spokeo's search results?
Spokeo username listings offer a comprehensive overview of a username, such as possible social media and web profile matches, profile photos, and more. We are not able to remove the entire username listing. However, we respect your privacy preferences and you can easily remove individual names associated with the username by removing your name or person profile. Removing your name or person profile will remove your name from appearing on the username listing.
The steps below provide you with instructions on how to remove your name:
1. Open an incognito window in your browser and go to www.Spokeo.com
2. Search for your name and narrow down the results to the profile with your specific information
-
Tips: You can search for your name with a city and state to narrow down the results
- Ex. "John Smith, Los Angeles, CA"
3. Once you have narrowed down the results to an individual listing, copy the URL
- The specific URL should look like: https://www.spokeo.com/John-Smith/State/City/1234567890
4. Click here to be directed to our Opt-Out page.
5. Right click on the box that states "Enter URL Here" and hit "Paste"
